Old man ancestor had to come out of retirement because of these three fools. Only the disciples and the other elders who are not even strong were willing to fight, this is why sects decline because of people like those three ‘supreme’ elders.

idk man. i feel like if the supreme elders hadnt fought and then tried to talk it out they wouldn't have lasted long enough for lin feng and then the ancestor to come out.

A fair point. I think stalling and waiting for reinforcements is a good tactic when you are outclassed, but those 3 don't seem to know that reinforcements were coming. Also, they didn't really try their best. I am sure they could have fought with their lives on the line and maybe pulled out some strong magic items and or burned their source energy to fight back, but they chose not to. This is of course the death of a martial sect, especially one that is supposed to be dedicated to the sword. As they have pointed out a few times, a swordsman must be unyielding. If the supreme elders lack the courage to fight, then what kind of example is that setting. Lastly, as a martial artist I can personally attest to the efficacy of having a strong will to fight. In boxing they call it "heart" and its pretty well known. The stronger one's will to fight, the greater ones odds are of winning it.

yeah thats true. i think if they had some artifacts they would have used them. its usually mostly the mcs that save them for last in these shows. i just think if they did the fighting without the talking the sect would have been wiped out, but i dont even think the elders were stalling as a tactic . they were 100% ready to sacrifice lin feng to save the rest of the school(and themselves)

I like this Ancestor Chu. The sect sorely needs a spring cleaning within its ranks when the sect leader is braver than the 3 Supreme Elders even knowing he's outmatched.

Honestly, the whole argument about saving the sect by kowtowing is a moot point. They were going to plunder your sect whether you surrender or not.
